Facilities:
Made possible in part through a $5-million gift from Enerplus Corporation, the Enerplus Centre for Innovation is ARIS' main prototype fabrication and testing space. It is equipped with state-of-the-art capabilities ranging from environmental enclosures to Metals Preparation and Joining and Materials Machining.
The Technology Demonstration Hall is equipped with a large-size video wall, multi-camera video conferencing capabilities, microphone and speaker-assisted audio and lighting designed for optimum video quality. A high-tech podium serves as a control panel and can be linked to a presenter's laptop. A mobile, lighting-equipped video camera and tripod are available for two-way audio-visual communication from remote locations.
The ability to evaluate water, air and soil for chemical composition is essential to ARIS' clean-technology, industry-based research and development.
This lab is equipped with 3D scanning, computer animated design and rapid prototyping capabilities. ARIS has three 3D printers, each with varying capabilities and speeds. Once a part is 3D modeled, it can be checked for size, aerodynamics, fit, etc. before being machined in metal
